New York Day 2.. SHOPPING

9:00 a.m. EST I wake Wes up and we leave for NYC....NYC Shopping. We stopped on none other than the famous 5th Avenue at H&M... I ended up spending alot of money here but everything I got was cute.. Wes was so cute he held all my clothes and only complained twice. Once we left there we headed through Bryant park down to 7th Ave where we stopped at the one and only 10 story MACY'S.. Wes took of to his floor and I went my way, we both ended up getting a few things then we went to "The Cellar" for lunch. Once I was refuled it was shop shop shop shop shop. We also stopped at some stores I knew Wes wanted to, like Modell's. (Sports Store) He ended up buying a Yankee Jersey and when he tried it on I never knew it would cause such a riot later... What I mean... We were done shopping and replenshing the economy (he he) when the sun started to shine in our eyes and Wes says.."I think I lost my sunglasses..." OMG are you serious lol.. So we searched for them in all of our bags, nothing, so he thought maybe he left them in Modells. So we walked back to the store and he asked the clerks if they had seen any sunglasses and they said no. So he was getting depressed until this really metro guy said.. "Oh...like oakleys? I saw them over there somewhere... SO Wes was jazzed but still couldn't find them. So with defeat we started to walk out, when something clicked in my mind.. Maybe someone put them back on the sunglasses rack without realizing they were oakleys.. Sure enough there they were. He was happy. We took a cab home to end out adventure in New York.. That was a life changin experience. I am already really jumpy but that made me almost scream and cry. SOOO Scary So I can now say ..."I Survived a yellow taxi ride"... That was the most of our adventure in NYC, the next day we relaxed, read the NY Post, grabbed Pizza and watched the Yankees game at the Condo before we left. The ride home was long and I am still tired... Would I do it again.... UM HELL YEAH!! xo Meg

New York City Day 1

Well, I did it. I finally went to New York City, after years and years I finally went. Thanks to Wes I had a place to stay and a Yankee ticket :) (It is there final season you know). I was able to get an earlier flight thanks to my mom :) (She loves me) and safely touched down in New Jersey at 10:14, then proceeded to stay on the Tarmack for 20 minutes :( ! After I landed I called Wes and he said "If you time it just right I can pick you up out side".. I was so bummed, I thought he would actually come and get me...I started getting testy with him on the phone telling him "how romantic he is..." then I turned around and there he was... Why do I doubt? The next morning we got up early to get to the ferry. It was my very first ferry ride and I was so excited. We rode on the top and even though I had cried after seeing the city the night before.. I started to cry again. I couldn't help it. After we got off the ferry we made our way to the Bronx. When I came out of the yucky subway and saw the light I was soooo overwhelmed, there it was, Yankee Stadium, The House that Ruth built. WOW! When we got inside we went down to out seats to watch batting practice, I saw A-Rod right off the bat and just started crying, I couldn't help it OMG he was 15 feet away. I've never been start struck but man...He is awesome. We grabbed some pizza right before the game and it began, My First Yankees Game.!. In the bottom of the first a group of ladies came to the game and were sitting right behind us, Wes wasn't too thrilled all they did was talk talk talk talk talk. He was so mad, plus they had Jersey accents, so it was a little annoying, but I was fine with it. The first Home Run of the day was hit by jason Giambi and the second Bobby Abreu. We ended up winning 12 to 4! :) We headed to Stans bar where Michael Cannon told Wes to take me, I had water. ;-) I know I did Michael proud :) HEHE! We also got to see Freddy, he is a legend almost like the Yankees themselves. http://www.freddysez.com/ If you want to know more about him. After the game we headed to Rockafeller Center where they had all the special Memorial Day flags out. It was truly special, we went into the NBC store and there was a huge NBC Jelly Bean Sign it was cool lol. After we went home, I asked Wes if he was ready for me to go shopping tomorrow and he nodded yes...but boy he didn't know it would be this bad..**insert evil laugh**

Were now Pilots

Well I thought I would let everyone know what we did over the weekend. We became honorary pilots...at least for three minutes he he. We met up with Marc at the North Las Vegas Airport and loaded up.. We flew over Nellis Air Force base and I was looking for those cool jets they fly and for some reason I couldn't see them but everyone else could... Finally after getting yelled at ;-) I saw them.. How cool does that look? Look at the little planes..

After that we headed out towards the Hoover Dam so we could see it, I've never seen it from the sky or on foot so it was REALLY REALLY cool.. I took a couple of pictures. Then when we got right by the dam, Marc did a half turn and I was looking STRAIGHT DOWN at it...Scary but super cool!

We headed down the way, it was really fun all of the towers were talking to Marc saying Niner 9056 Whiskey....(that was his plane name) Once we got to Havasu we got to take a guys car and have lunch..It was a tease though because the water looked like SOOO much fun! :-)

On our way back it was Wes turn to fly and he did good until he took us into a slight nose dive he he, not really but we were losing altitude. Doesn't he look like he is about to shoot.. Its not a fighter plane!!

IT WAS AN AWESOME experience.. I even fit underneath the planes wings.. Ha I though it was funny.

Brunettes DO have more fun :P

~Well it has been fun as a blond, but not a natural for me. Hey Never say I didn't try anything once huh! :-) Well Gwen my wonderful stylist died my hair for me and instead of a **SHOCK** like last time, I actually loved it! My red came out for the first couple of days but once the shine wore down I took a photo.. So the Before up top and this is new the an more confident ME!!

Love you All!!!

Old Friends

Late Thursday I had a text message on my phone from none other than my Best friend in Logan, Josh. He said one sentence..."I'm coming to Nevada". I was excited because he was coming down to Mesquite with his beautiful girlfriend Amanda, so on Monday night he calls me and tells me he is coming down to Vegas to visit. When they knocked on the door Wes was watching the New Orleans/Spurs game...okay he was screaming at the game because he hates the Spurs so much. We had a fun little visit, and then we went to get Ice Cream at Denny's. While we were there they started to tell us how they have been shunned a by a lot of people in Logan because they are not married and having a baby. I was appalled, I couldn't say I wasn't surprised because for as non judgemental as all the Utah/Idaho population claims to be...they are probably the most judgemental people I have ever met. I know they are going to be GREAT parents, they are both strong and full of life, they want to succeed which is why Wes and I know they will succeed. I loved seeing them and wanted to be selfish and have them stay longer. Hopefully though we will get to start seeing more of each other and the newest chick magnet..Baby Nilson :)

Race For The Cure

The alarm clock goes off at 5:00 a.m. and I am already up and ready to go to the Race, so I go to wake Wes up and I get "..can I have 5 more minutes..." you all know I'm not patient so of course I said no and made him get up. I wore my pink ribbon and lots of cute pink eyeshadow and with much debate we were on the way to Fremont Street. When we arrived we had to get on a Charter Bus that took us about 2 miles to downtown and we walked the rest of the way. There was sooo many people around 20,000 by the end I believe.

The start of the race was fun, Wes hasn't ever been to one so he was of course mocking the racers who wear spandex and warm up for thirty minutes and actually compete at a charity run, but I was SOO ready to race, this wasn't my first run!!

When the race started I almost got knocked down and Wes got scratched but it was okay because we did pretty good. Wes was getting a little tired at the end, I didn't think someone could sweat as much as that he he, his additude was that he could RUN the whole thing without practicing and now that it is over he kept up with me but he is hurting...Been sore for days. Over all it was an AWESOME race and we had a blast. We were also on Team Gohres but the only people who showed up were Marc, Me & Wes!! Were hard core!
