Last weekend was my Gymnastics Club's performance. The girls in Red and Purple are my main classes, but the little ones I help with on Thursdays. It was very organized and they are great kids, very well behaved and talented.

Yankees!

Yankees!

The main reason we went to California is of course to watch the Yankees. They lost, as USUAL against the Angels, it is so sad. We got to the park early and Phil Coke one of the pitchers signed Wes baseball. We watched A-Rod, Jeter and the rest of them warm-up. Then Wes and I sat in the shade for a little bit in the field seats. I told him "I think we should get sunscreen, were going to be in the sun all day" he looked up in the upper decks and said "I don't think so".. Then I dropped the surprise I said "Yes we are because we are sitting down there, like in the front row".. He was speechless and made me show him the tickets. It made me smile!!! SO we bought sunscreen and I bought water squirting fans to stay cool at Walmart as a surprise as well. It was a fun game and we sat next to "nice" fans instead of drunk ones you find in the upper decks.

Beaches

Our California weekend always starts at the beach. We love the beach!!! We had breakfast at "The Cottage". Everything they make is from scratch and with fresh, organic fruits and eggs. It tastes so good!! We headed then to Laguna's main beach where we rented boogie boards and hit the waves. The waves were HUGE this time, and I got knocked out a couple of times. Wes had one hard hit, but he is tougher than me.. I decided to just lay out and read cosmo.

4th Of July

At 4:00 in the morning I woke up to get ready to run the firecracker 5K!! Oh let me tell you that is the first and last time I'm going to do that. What a disaster, the hills were killer but I managed to finish. We went to the parade which was themed "Under the Sea", that was alot of fun we managed to see some cute floats and mermaids. Later in the day we went to Michael's house and had a BBQ which was alot of fun. The fireworks were later in the evening, which was an experience. They have to water down someones house so that it won't start on fire....YIKES
